So BF4 was released October 29th, 2013. That's almost 6 months ago. And it's still the worst "launch" in online gaming history in my opinion. 6 months in, repeated fixes to the "net code", tweeks to the game's code, and other minor attempts at fixing the issues that have, for 6 months, plagued the game. DICE even made a statement at some point in the near past that they wouldn't release any DLC until the issues were resolved and very quickly went back on their word when they announced all was right in the world and released the first DLC.
Now some issues have been resolved. For example the kill camera displaying the incorrect person as the killer has been resolved.
The overall major issue of server side lag however continues to elude DICE. They do think they might have a fix. After some exhaustive testing they're blaming it on a server side hardware configuration. So they've concocted Superservers to come in and save the day!
DICE is hoping these new server configurations with additional power behind them will help alleviate the rubber banding issue players are experiencing.
Here's hoping...
