It's been confirmed that Farscape is seeing continuation in Movie format. For those of you unfamiliar with the series it was a SciFi (before it was SyFy) original series made in conjunction with the Jim Henson's Creature Shop. It ran for 4 seasons before being canceled due to "declining viewers". A couple years after the cancellation SciFi aired a a mini-series that basically condensed seasons 5 (which was written and ready to go prior to the cancellation notice) and wrapped up the general plot line to not leave the show with the crazy cliffhanger that was the end of season 4.
The basic plot was that a test pilot from Earth, John Chrichton, flies a mission through a wormhole that lands him in the path of sentient ship called Moya that is piloted and crewed by intergalactic fugitives. Turns out these fugitives are on the run from what amount to space nazi's, John can't get home, has no idea where he is in the universe in relation to Earth (if they're even in the same galaxy) and so the story evolves.
It was a great series, I was saddened by it's cancellation, happy about the mini-series and now pumped for a movie!
