WHAT WHAT WHAT!!!
MORE CIV BEYOND EARTH NEWS / COVERAGE?
Forgive the caps, but Civilization: Beyond Earth gets me all excited, hot and bothered.
PCG has a new article kicking right here.
But what you want is the video... Which I for the life of me can't get to work right here, so you'll have to go here to watch it, or play it in that PCG article.
Oh, and at the end of the article they say FALL 2014 for release. I know I'll be pre-ordering as soon as it's available.

Yea, I'm actually super stoked for this the more I read about it. The nights of "One More Turn" will be back again. I hope this isn't the end of classic Civ though, I loved the traditional games too.

The idea of having an orbital layer to launch things like satellites into to effect things below is super super awesome!

What a great day! Super, SUPER pumped for this. Firaxis and 2K games are FINALLY delivering the spiritual successor to Alpha Centauri! I loved AC and played that game to DEATH back in the day.
Will Miller, co-lead designer on the title, has come right out and said point blank that "The heart and soul [of Alpha Centauri] lives at Firaxis. For all the fans of Alpha Centauri this is the game we've made for you."
Best part? Release is slated for Fall of 2014. Joystiq has a nice article up about the title, and here's the announcement video!
