Assassin's Creed: Black Flag

I got this game for free with my video card, so I wasn't expecting much (you get what you pay for, right?), but I was really surprised when I fired it up this weekend. If you're a fan of the old Sid Meier's Pirates, you'll love this game. The graphics are fantastic, you can attack and capture/sink/loot boats, you can attack and capture forts, you can purchase a diving bell and go after treasure on the ocean floor and the single player story is pretty good to boot.

There's a multiplayer component to the game as well, but I haven't done anything with that. Additionally, there are single player elements that can be "shared with friends", but as I don't have any Uplay friends, I haven't tried that either.

With this game being so much fun, I'm going to have to check out AC:Liberation, which was probably the game company's point in giving me this game with the video card :)

Hmm I have never played an Assasins creed game and didnt realize that black flag had these mechanics.  I really like Pirates! its just kinda fun this may make me check it out.

I bought black flag and am straight addicted to it.  I played last night when I got home from the bars drunk and it was the best.  Im not sure about pirates drinking all the time. #pirateproblems
