Two Championship Series players, Alfonso Aguirre "Mithy" Rodriguez and Erlend "Nukeduck" Holm have been suspended by Riot Games for "extremely toxic behaviour during games".
For those interested in LoL here's a link to the article on PC Gamer's site.
I don't follow LoL at all, and the fact that the developer suspends high level tournament players for their foul attitudes is the reason I don't play / follow LoL at all.
For those of you that do follow / play it what's the appeal? In classic MMO's if someone's a twit I can ignore them and I honestly don't run into it very often. However people getting banned / suspended by Riot Games is a regular occurrence for LoL. Does this type of game simply attract the type of player that spews "extremely toxic behaviour"?
Or is it just the popularity of LoL and the cash money you can win at tournaments that makes this type of thing front page news?
